ABC For Adoption is an Illinois-based Not For Profit adoption agency, although ABB was licensed in 2003.  Our staff has been helping birth-parents find loving, stable licensed couples to adopt their babies since 1994. We are a private agency with no support from the State, Government or any Religious group. ABC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. They are a diverse group of individuals who maintain a primary focus of the needs of children placed through ABC, without regard to race, religion or special medical or psychological needs. ABC is not an "adoptive-parent agency" or a "birth-parent agency," ABC is licensed as a "Child Welfare Agency ." This means that, above all else, ABC's paramount concern is protecting and providing for children placed in its care. Everything that ABC For Adoption does is ultimately focused on meeting the needs of children through adoption.

In all of our domestic adoption programs we support birth parents in finding responsible loving homes for their children. ABC For Adoption exhibits a tremendous amount of appreciation and respect for birth parents who, for personal reasons, put their child's best interest first and choose adoption for their child. We have had the privilege of working with birth parents that chose adoption for their child. It was clear in their minds that adoption was the best course of action and a responsible decision. We recognize that the decision to place a child for adoption is not a happy decision for a birth parent. We have never seen a birth parent that was glad to place his or her child for adoption. We have an excellent staff who are prepared to assist birthparents in making the best decisions not only for themselves, but more importantly, for the welfare of the child.

Our well-trained staff deals with grief, guilt and anguish that often accompany the giving up of a child for adoption. We work with birthparents to make sure they are well and able to care for their needs, before as well as after the birth of the child.
We will guide you through the application and adoption processes. You can meet the adoptive couple if you so choose. We will provide you with update letters and pictures of your baby. We will inform you of your adoption options; closed, open, or semi-open adoptions. We can help you make the right choice for yourself, the birth-father, your family and your future.
